"Joe Rucksack"? This is a joke, right?
Anyway, uh...Joe....I'm sure there are mystery-shopper opportunities now in China, particularly in the larger, growing cities, like Shanghai. I can't tell you how to find them though, as I cannot type Pinyin. But here's a tip that might help:
Many mystery-shopping jobs are for chains, that is, a business with many many locations. These might be restaurants, or groceries, or any kind of retail store. Pick a few likely names, and do internet searches for mystery+shop+(name of chain). Soon enough, you will find one MSC, a Mystery Shopping Company, that has jobs with that chain. That same MSC may also have jobs with other chains as well. Keep at it a few days, and soon you will find many MSCs, each with more than one client (chain).
Also, at the bottom of this page, you will find a link to the Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies. Some of these, I know, are active in Asia, though most are only active in North America and Europe.
Good luck!
