Welcome to the Board!

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
Hello!

I too am a "new" shopper, just having done my first month of shops out here in Arizona.

The best thing you can do is READ, READ, READ - particularly the "New Mystery Shoppers" pinned topics. Print out the main thread (1st one) if you have to.

@nicnsteve25 - make absolutely sure you read the Guidelines. Many, many shops state "NO CHILDREN may accompany you". For example, one MSC I do Fast Food shops for says, "No one may accompany you". If my husband is in the car (we do shops together on weekends, he is a MS also), I have to let him out in the parking lot before I pull up to the drive through.

@greg_w26 - At the bottom of this page is an "Official List of MS Companies" - click on that, bookmark it if you want. You'll see a list of companies with a (# discussions) beside it. When I first signed up as a shopper, I did NOT click on that "# Discussions" and read from the pros whether it was a "good" company or a "not-so-good company". I would have saved myself some applications if I had done my research first. Lesson learned - CLICK on the # DISCUSSIONS and read threads first before signing up!

Also - just remember, if it's too good to be true - it IS. Most MS jobs for those starting out are cheap. In other words, $5.00, $7.00, $9.50, $10.00, maybe up to $15.00. Expect to take on these to "get your feet wet" and get in the door. Eventually you'll move up. I had a company call me last night at 7:30 PM. I had never done a job for them, but I had applied for one. He asked me if I could do it last minute. I asked to check my schedule (I work FT also). When I asked if I could do the job this Sunday, he said, "Sure, and since you accepted last minute, I'll add a $15.00 bonus". Oh MY! I got my confirmation email about 30 minutes (with the bonus listed) later!

Do NOT accept "Cash this check and wire me the money" - THOSE ARE SCAMS. AND, the Scammers WILL use a Legitimate Company's Logo, text, even NAMES.

"When in Doubt, Throw It Out". Or come to the forum and ask the Pro Shoppers!

Good luck - sorry for the novella! Happy Shopping! Everyone here is very nice and helpful!

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
