MSC Testing

Hi everyone!

I was just curious really and also wondering if anyone had any advice as well.
I'm still a fairly new shopper and I've noticed that with a decent amount of companies that I've signed up with require tests before you do any shops, either of a certain type or for that company altogether. My question/curiosity is this-
What's your strategy for getting these tests done and do you do them right away?

I find them to be a bit annoying and I end up putting some of them off, do you think that prevents me from seeing some shops they have? I've been signing up for so many companies in my free time lately that I just don't want to spend the rest of it taking tests! =)

You will not get the jobs where the client requires a test, for sure.

Testing is a part of the process and if you don't follow through with them the time spent registering will have been wasted.

However, some have a long list of tests. If the brand doesn't exist where I live, I don't take the test.

@walesmaven I do take them, it's just some of the companies have like 15 or more tests and I wasn't sure if I should do them all right away. If there are only one or two, then yes I take them straight away. =)

@Jponline wish I had those here! I don't think I've seen any in my area.

@LisaSTL Ah ok, I do most of them right away, just not when there are about 7 and up, I tend to put off some of them and just do a couple. Still getting into the swing of things! smiling smiley

@prince That'll definately help take some of those off of my plate! I wouldn't have thought to exclude those ones. Thank you.

Keep a copy of the tests you take (the ones for a particular client, not just for the MSP) with the answers. Why? Because the requirements do change over time. When that happens, MSPs will usually require you to retake the test. They usually change only one or two of the questions and it is easier not to do all the research again - you can focus discovering the answer to the new question or two.
