Good Company for Us Car-less Folks?

Has anyone else on here had success as a mystery shopper without a car of their own? When I lived down south, I had a very reliable bus system. Now I'm on the outskirts of Chicago and everything is spread out. Nothing is withing walking distance except a taco place 2 miles up the road. Are there any good phone companies?

Hmm, I live in a large Metro area and use the bus and trains. I set up my shops along my bus or train routes and by City or neighborhood. I learned to do this because I foolishly didn't when I first started and spent 13 hours on the road one day, most if it either waiting on a bus or riding it. Get a map if your City, and bus schedules.

I have a car but I do most of my shops by bicycle. I figure if it's too far to ride a bike, then it's too far to drive. Car expenses would eat up most of the shop fee.

My definition of success is enjoying my work. I only take shops at places I would want to go anyway. My favorite taqueria. The greatest hamburger place. I love those shops.

When I am in New York City, I use the subway and bus system to shop. There is not as much reliable transportation in Ohio so I conduct more telephone and internet shops when I am there.

I am working to supplement my phone shops with shops that can be done using bus routes; but it has been tough getting those organized.

I use local transportation to shop. It works out wonderfully because hubby and I get a pass anyway for our full-time jobs. I would only ever use a car if I had 5 or more different shops all across town that paid more than $25 each and they all had to be done the same day or that kind of scenario. Even then, I still bus it..

So far, I have not done any phone shops and I live in a big city. I wish I had something more to offer you smiling smiley
