RQA payment options seem to have changed

I was notified of a project today.

They used to either pay $20 per hour or $20 per location, + mileage.

There were two stores by me - they only let you select pay per location, no travel fee. Pay was $16 per location.

Sad face. sad smiley

Yep. And a limit of five at a time. S'alright, I'll assign 5 more after the first 5, and so on, till they're gone (If I'm allowed). Still makes a good day.
I noticed that, too--it's a 20% pay decrease AND no mileage. I wonder if it's going to be the new norm or if it's just for this project. And why such a low limit that can be assigned?

Not sure if you were sent the same one. This one is an effectiveness check, so it should be pretty straight forward and fairly quick. I would hope any projects that require more significant time (like destruction of a recalled food item) will be at a higher rate.
Yes, I saw that, too! I only took one location till I see how involved it really is. I hope the price change is just for this project. It would be sad otherwise. This has been one of the few fair paying MSCs!!

I usually try to read the project docs before taking on too many. And I agree, I hope this is just for this project or the simpler ones. Since I'm in a rural area, without any comp for mileage or the ability to use the hourly rate, it would put me off a lot of projects.
Any project that's $16 and no travel fee will be a hard pass for me, whether in town or not. I'd expect to receive that for spying at a cell phone store; RQA can do better.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
I took the 3 that were near me. Usually dollar stores are very simple. Everytime I have had a recall there, they have already taken care of it. Just a matter of confirming with the manager and taking pictures. I won't do the ones at the large supermarkets anymore because finding a manager there is a nightmare.

Project docs won't be available till the start date, 2/6.

Yeah, that kinda irked me because I really prefer to know what I'm getting into, but there's only 2 stores near me and like Datagirl said - the dollar stores are normally just confirming the items are gone.
Aaaand - the day's half over but still no paperwork. Wasted hours.

Ok. It just showed up. Still wasted hours, though.

For those who have yet to do this, there is now a requirement to TAKE A PHOTO of BOTH the instructions AND the LOA once you start the project! This is new! I just lined them up side by side to get them in one photo. I know there are reps who show their LOAs on their phone to the managers in the stores. I'm not sure how that would work with this project since we are asked to take an actual photo of both the LOA and instructions.

Also, I WAS able to input my $0.10/page fee for the pages I printed out. It shows up in my submitted expense report. We'll see if I get paid for them.
Thanks for that info!!! I actually did print out the LOAs and instructions but I forgot we can submit expenses like that. Every little bit helps!! I plan on doing these Saturday morning, some are close to my TY stores.
I couldn't get into the app on Friday, it was giving a weird connection error - I did my two stores yesterday and just snapped a pic of the instructions I printed out. I was in and out of the stores in about 5 minutes for this project. I guess I'll see if they comment on the picture not having the LOA.
One store had product and I was unprepared. I did not have a sharpie or a garbage bag. The manager was very helpful though and provided me what I needed. I apologized but she said she was happy to help with any type of recall. She said she thought they tossed these already but apparently another shipment came in the other day.

Oh well, at least it is done. Thankfully it wasn't too much.
Well, my one job was approved for payment, INCLUDING the $0.10/page that I included! Just wanted to let y'all know not to forget to include your cost for printing your paperwork, especially since they lowered the fee on this one!

I have a couple of sharpies in my car from doing some of the prepaid debit card reloads. They came in handy when my son was in a cast and a few friends wanted to sign it, I was able to whip out a sharpie no prob!
