I signed up for one because I wanted to see what changed; I have no intention of doing it.
They updated a few things - not the pay, though - for the 1P Tech Hardware shops. They now require a photo of ANY brand's inside display (presumably to make sure folks are actually going inside) as well as a "selfie" taken upon exiting with the store sign in the background. The funny thing is the guidelines say, "The selfie image does not have to include your face." You know there's going to be some smartiepants out there who will take that instruction and run with it. -cough cough-
The questions have changed slightly. Most of the same dumb narratives are still there along with a couple of new ones. It asks for details regarding the salesperson's "pitch" as well as what was mentioned about AI details/capabilities of the devices.
These shops were never worth it at $12; now, they're even less so. If I have to take a selfie and a display picture, I'm going to do it for the Electronics shops that pay $16 and don't have any narrative requirements.
If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
