Does Ipsos cut bonus money for locations that can't be completed?

When a bonused location can't be completed because the location is out of business or no longer affiliated with the brand, does Ipsos only pay half of the bonus?

I did a lube audit (revealed audit, not the mystery shop) earlier today that was no longer affiliated with the national brand. The editor cut the fee in half, which I expected, but the bonus was cut in half as well. Should I still receive the entire bonus or only half? The same thing happened last week with a closed location where I got half the fee but all of the bonus. Which editor did it wrong?

You get half the fee. You're lucky to get half the bonus.

Both were the same type of audit?
Yes, exactly the same shop. The only difference was one was closed entirely (full bonus) and one was open but no longer affiliated with the brand (half bonus.)

They never say up front. And we don't know what rules the editors are working from. I know in the past the rule on some projects was supposed to be half the fee and the full bonus. They no longer spell that out.
It's only a matter of time until they don't pay us at all for that type of circumstance. They will, can and do cut pay as often as possible. It's their business model.
I think Dr Doggie got lucky with that full bonus for a fully-closed location. I've only received half bonuses for shops that could not be completed because of closed/missing locations.

That's what I was wondering, CoolMusic. I couldn't figure out which editor got it wrong, and if I complained, was I going to gain money or shoot myself in the foot and lose what had been mistakenly given?

I've decided I need to not look what is probably a gifthorse in the mouth.

Halving the fee is understandable, but halving the bonus is shady, imo. Half the shops I do (rural area), the bonuses are what makes the driving worth it.

I agree; the bonus should remain intact. It's an incentive to take the shop and go over to the location. If I go, I should get the bonus regardless if the location is shoppable or not.
