So Frustrated

I usually don't complain about calls from MS companies since I like the work and normally take it, but I had a horrible experience this week with someone from Market force. I received a call from a number I didn't know and I was in the middle of a store audit, so I swiped it away and the person kept calling over and over and over until I had to finally excuse myself to tell them to please stop. There is nothing like trying to ask questions that are on your phone in a app as someone keeps calling. When I finally answered, I immediately said please leave a message I will call back and instead the person just randomly started reading the qualifying questions for a shop, I stopped him and said I am working and still it was as if I said nothing, then adding insult to ignorance he wanted me to drive over 100 miles for $20.00. I finally hung up, extremely frustrated and apologizing to the associate that I was speaking to. How would you handle this and have you ever had an experience like that?

This is exactly why I no longer get MF calls. I tell them I can't talk and they keep it up. So I hang up on them. The good news is you only have to do it four or five more times before they stop calling me.
For next time, is there a way, within the settings of the audit app, to set it for no interruptions? Most apps have something like that. Or set the phone to send all calls to voicemail while you're working?
I personally despise cell phones - -- not so savvy with them - BUT can't we just click "block" for a particular phone number>
I had the exact same thing happen to me many times. I finally just stopped answering ANY calls from numbers I don't know. I, then, don't return the call if they leave a voicemail. That calling over and over like that sets off my "internal alert system." I think something is a life or death situation that I must stop my world for to answer the phone...then...guess who it is!? So frustrating!

Easy solution. When I'm working and doing a shop, I set my phone to Do Not Disturb. No calls or texts come through that way.

I work in many different states and may drive on for days. I have security cameras, smart fire alarms, smart alarms for my temperature in my house, smart alarms for just about everything at my house. I need to keep my volume on just in case. I pay for this phone... I should be able to keep it on anytime I wish without being harassed on it.

Been there - I no longer accept calls from MF

Evaluating and mailing packages since 1994. I am an undercover connoisseur of customer service, a master of disguise in the aisles, and a sworn enemy of subpar experiences. I blend in, observe, and report—because excellence should never be a mystery.
They are persistent, and it is so time consuming to do any scheduling with them.
When you answer the Marketforce employee, what are they trying to tell you, thats so important that they have to call you 10 times? Are they tracking your location in real time?

Sounds like the calls were from the overseas "telemarketer" schedulers that follow a script and will not stop until you hang up.

Okay, okay. You want to be annoyed and upset, go ahead and stay annoyed and upset. It's your choice. But are there other solutions? Turning your ringer off just for the period of time you are engaged in a shop? Providing them with a number that sends calls straight to voicemail? Is there a setting in your MF account that you do not want to be contacted? Deactivating your account? Just not answering any calls while working? Or letting it roll off your back and getting on with your day without giving them more thought than they deserve?
I love calls from my marketforce schedulers! It's the only way I get the bonuses I need in order to be profitable!

(But then I AM weird! )

You need to learn how to set your own phone up. No one is forcing you to answer. I have a screening option of incoming calls which asks them to say why they are caling and I can swipe up to answer or just ignore it.
Don't always rely on the bonus to be a good one. I had them offer me a bonus for less than what it was on the board for.
Some year's ago, I contacted the Help desk an asked them to remove me from the list for those foreign phone calls which were calling me all of the time and they obliged immediately. You may get calls occasionally from a U.S. Scheduler, however, if you tell them how/when you like to be contacted (day of the week) and ask them to leave a message they will do so. As written throughout this thread you have many options to avoid this happening to you in the future so it does not steal your peace of what you enjoy doing.
The calling back the second time is a bit annoying (and I don't mind the calls) my guess is they didn't have the message script ready.
