ISecretShop Badges

I just got a couple of new badges! Woo Hoo! I'm going to do everything in my power to go out there and earn more!

Really? I guess these encourage some people, but I'm in it for the money.

Badges? Badges? We don't need no stinking badges! Remember where that came from? Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
Perhaps it allows the MSCs to see that you have done similar types of shops? For instance, the education badge was for a phone call shop to a California university inquiring about one of their degree programs.

Perhaps now with the badge, I might be accepted to do other university call shops?
Nah. You were accepted to do the first one without the badge, right?

Yeah but now there's those 50 other phone only MSCs that will now see me as a viable person to do their shops.
Badges? For one week my name was posted on the site as the top weekly earner in my state. I was mortified thinking someone I know IRL would see it. Badges are like 'citations' no?
I'd say the badges are like one of the positive citations or "hero" citations. I could see where they may be used to see if a shopper has experience in a certain type of shop, but also perhaps a motivator for some. I personally am more motivated by the big fat dollar signs.

That's is kind of cool! Congratulations!

I actually like the badges. It's nice for something different.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.

A couple of years ago, my name was also listed as one of the top 5 my state.. I should have taken a screen shot of it but I didn't :sad smiley
@wrosie And I thought I was the only one who doesn't give a hoot about a badge! I agree, we are in it for the $$. If there's some bonus behind the badge then i'd care. It seems very kindergarten to me....
The badges are all reflective of MSCs' desire to de-professionalize mystery shopping. They want people to shop for fluff not fees. I've emailed iSS and asked how to hide the badges. My request went unanswered. If they got the message that their badges are insulting, they don't care.

Several yrs. ago, Bild & Co, an MSC for whom I was contracted, decided to leave Prophet and begin using iSS. I THINK at that time, the platform referred to shoppers as agents and had a logo of a hunched over inspector with a magnifying glass. I do not have any recollection of completing work for another MSC. using that platform.
Badges? Would it be more lucrative to be badged for airport shops? That is, if anyone still badges shoppers for airport assignments.

My garden in England is full of eating-out places, for heat waves, warm September evenings, or lunch on a chilly Christmas morning. (Mary Quant)

Wrong kind of badges. iSS badges are like "gold stars" which are passed out to kindergartners.

Yes, airport badges are useful - and valuable. But, there are only a very few airports currently with MSC sponsored airport badges.
Long ago, I did more with ISS or ACE or something and found the reward system unhelpful. I have forgotten if we were given points, or some other sort of non-monetary kudos. I would have preferred a monetary scale of thanks and appreciation... As an example: For successful completion of x number of assignments, your base fee increases by y percent or so many dollars and on from there... Yes, dream on, shop..

There are companies out there that badge. I am badged at multiple airports.

Doing assignments since the days when reports were handwritten and faxed to the MSC.
Was there a TV show or movie (back in the day) that had the quote "I don't want those badges" or something like that?
