For the people who do the Arches Walk-in shop before the drive-thru....

So if you do the walk-in portion first, do you order the chicken sandwich, wrap, or fish at the walk-in? I always thought they wanted those items evaluated at the drive-thru since they wanted you to do the drive-thru first. But the shopper guidelines, say "first order" and "second order."

I have a breakfast shop Thurdsay and I was thinking about doing the walkin first, but I'm not sure if I should order the sausage "first" at the walk-in or continue to do it at the drive-thru even if I do the walk-in first.

You will get advice from many in this forum stating that they always eat inside first. Me thinks they are loons! Common sense tells you if you want to keep a low profile you would not go hang out inside for 20 minutes and then walk outside and go thru the drive thru! You go thru the drive thru first and park on the side of the building that the drive thru is not on. The moment you pull up and park you see what time it is and start counting off 5 minutes. At this time you take a few sips of your soda and eat a couple pieces of wood i mean fries and the moment 5 minutes is up you head inside. If you just wiffed thru the drive thru and did not make a scene or anything the odds of anyone remembering you from the drive thru are low. The second you get to your seat you start the 15 minute clock. You are supposed to stay inside 15 minutes so you do exactly that and then get the heck out of there unless you are one of those crazies who thinks hanging out at the golden arches for an hour is a good time.
Hi DJR,

I always do the WI first so for breakfast it's sausage then bacon for DT.
The last time I did one of these the instructions were to do the dine in portion first. I always order the first order first, and the second order second.

If you switch them up and do the drive through first, I think the safest thing would be to order the first order first. I've never ordered the first order second, so I don't know what the MSP would do.

I did get close to hitting the end of the time window on an out of town shop, and I did the drive through first so I could still get the inside receipt during the time window. If I had done the dine in first, I would not have been able to get the drive through receipt during the time window. On that shop, I ordered the first order first and the second order second. I got paid without a hitch, so on that particular shop I was not penalized for going against instructions and doing the drive through first.

It doesn't matter to me how anyone else does their shops. This is information on what has worked for me. Anyone who has questions about how to do the shop would be better off to consult the company and get the needed information from the people running the show.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I do it whichever way I want and have been told that is fine just so long as one order is from one list and the other is from the other list. I can't begin to tell you how many I have done over the years and I have never had a problem.

I am on the other side.
Inside makes more sense first.
Shop eat then go through drive thru. If you eat over to the side by the rest room they will not
spot you. And you are NEVER recognized at the order screen so the worst is the food handler at the end MIGHT have seen you but by that time you are driving away. The cashier is rarely if ever the same for arches.

I make the decision which to do first on an individual basis such as how long is the drive thru line when I enter, how the traffic flow runs (would it be hard to do the drive thru and come back and park as in the case of one way streets) and if I really need to use the bathroom, I do the walk in first! As to which order to order which time, the rule I go by is:What do I want to eat all of? I order the thing I want to eat all of inside and what I order at the drive thru I just taste and take home to save to later or give to hubby. I've been doing many a month for many years and never had a complaint about which one I do first.
Lengthy thread on this exact subject begun on March 26, 2013 06:46PM, OP title "Does the arches require drive thru first?"

I've done drive-thru and walk-in first, and I've done purchase one and purchase two first. It's always been accepted no matter what order.

Also some day I am going back through all the threads because EVERY month (well I think) about mid month we get the threads that start with I don't see the Arches shop.... I think they are just loading them into the system later each month.

I've done any combination of the above without a problem.
I only do DT last when I'm taking food home. Otherwise I do DT first so I can put my back to the wall and work on both reports on their wifi. The MSC doesn't care what you buy when as long as you get something from both lists. I did ask them directly. It's their idea to send the same person to both order points one after another. This is a situation that you did not cause. Ive been spotted more than a few times and it's not a problem. Sometimes it means getting table service and drink refills brought to your table!

Thanks all. I knew I had seen a tread on this, but I couldn't find it, and I didn't think it adressed which item to order at which POS.

I'm still not sure which I'll do first. I think it'll be a game time decision when I pull onto the lot.
