We often rag on about how bad schedulers and MSC are. I want to take time to praise this one.
I don't know how many of you know this MSC, Vision Client. They are based in Quebec. Canada and I don't see too many shops in my area.
However, I just performed a jewellery shop in a local shopping mall. It was a small store that sold a particular product. I was to evaluate the Sales Consultant's (SA) discussion of and sales ability on this product.
I arrived just after opening and it was fairly busy. An SC joined me fairly quickly and we eventually got around to my target product. However, by then there were loads of customers and the SC was jumping from one customer to another and was not able to spend time with me on the target product.
I left the store and returned home to complete the report. I wrote as honestly as I could; giving facts and recanting exactly what had happened. I then wrote in the notes section (and sent an email), "This was a difficult shop because the store got increasingly busy as I was working with the sales consultant. In addition, the SC kept leaving me to attend to other customers. I didn't get a great opportunity to get into a discussion about the target product. I completed the survey as best I could, but am not sure if it is sufficient for the client. Please let me know."
I thought the MSC would have me re do the shop or reassign it.
This was their reply, "We did see in your report that she was a bit distracted, what you did ask is enough for our client for this type of visit. The visits do not always go as we would like them to, but you did a good visit, and more importantly, a good report. Thank you!"
Wow!
Thanks for being "real", Vision Client. Thanks for understanding reality is not always pretty nor do shops always go as we would like.
