Need Organizing MSC/Password tips from those with 100s of shops

How do you keep your passwords/companies organized? I have been trying to collect the places I signed up with collected in a bookmark folder, and the passwords for them collected on a list in my mailbox.

Any tips for keeping all these organized in an accassable way? I would like to alphabetize the companies. I keep all my MSC emails in a seperate mail folder.

Any other tips? I am listed with about 15 companies, maybe more, but I lost count since I think there was a few I forgot to add into the bookmark folder.

All tips and tricks for organizing these would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Karen

I use LastPass.com. It has an app for my phone as well. It keeps all of the passwords straight for me!
I use a Rolodex but that app sounds great since I have trouble on the road. Honestly I remember them all on my own sitting at my desk top; it's when I am out of town on my laptop or phone that I have trouble.

I have Google Dropbox. Any folder I put into it from my desktop I can access it on my iPhone. I don't trust cloud sites, so much (except for google, since they have been very honest), so maybe if I look at that website it can give me an idea how to build my own. Maybe an excel spreadsheet?

Anyone else with great ideas, I would really appreciate them. smiling smiley
Keskandari, I use an Excel spreadsheet. It includes website addresses, passwords, a notes section, my last contact date with the MSC, and status with the company (such as applied/accepted/currently working with).

I also keep the MSCs sorted by 1) those with steady work in my area, 2) those that never have work in my area, and 3) those that should be avoided at all costs.

I organize MSCs in browsers and on hard drives by using folders and subfolders. I don't need to organize my passwords; I use formulas. When I am on an MSC's login page, I just figure out what the password is based on my formulas. If all else fails, I use the Forgot Password function.
Well I love RoboForm. It remembers all my personal information and passwords for all the companies. I also use Google Dropbox and I just love it. I can take photos on my phone, put them into dropbox, get home and voila! there are all my photos on my laptop!
I love Roboform for the passwords that are "odd." Whenever possible, I use my screen name and the same password for all MSCs. When a company assigns a password but lets the shopper change it in their profile, I change it to my "universal" one. Access to MSC sites is not so sensitive that I feel the need for unique or complex passwords. I save those for my banking, Paypal, an other key sites. Not even my Robo form stores those!!!

I agree with jpgilham and walesmaven about Roboform. I have used it for years for remembering passwords. I have only been shopping since last month, so I'm only signed up with about 30 or so companies. I have all of them bookmarked in a folder. Then I have the folder divided into subfolders for companies I have worked with, ones that don't have anything good in my area, ones I've applied to, and ones that I have seen have shops that interest me. I also put a little note as to what companies they shop in the title of the bookmark (ex. XX Company - pizza, gas stations).
I am using just simple Excel spreadsheet to track shop pays, days and summary of payments, on each tab dedicated to each MS I have everything including passwords. I am also using a Google Chrome that can save your log-in and passwords and trying to keep the same log in and passwords for all shops

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
I do have them as favorites in my browser on my laptop, but I also have a Mystery Shops note in Evernote listing them all with:

Name of MSC
Notes about the types of shops they offer
A clickable link to their sign-in page
My user ID and a reminder/"code" for the password
Notes about when and how they pay.
Scheduler direct contact info if I have ever contacted them via phone or email.

Since it's in Evernote, I can access it from the app on my phone, the program on my laptop, or from the web.

I list the ones I shop most first, and the ones that never have anything that works for me last. I don't have enough listed that's it's an issue, but Evernote will search for a name if I need to.

May I ask why one would not pick one password and use it for all sites?
For one thing, some sites assign a password that cannot be changed.

I use Roboform for all my passwords. I also save all my reports in Roboform.

That makes sense. Thank you for clarifying.
