Ace Hotel certificates

I've gotten similar certificates over the years and never have been able to actually use them. There were so many restrictions on dates it was insane. The companies state that you can't book within seven days of any holidays or conventions. Now, let's think about that. They include almost every possible holiday there is. Then when I did find some dates that were outside of the holidays, the place stated there was a convention within seven days. It ended up that I couldn't use the certificate and I was out the original deposit.

I guess if you use the certificate, just be on notice what you can be in for and be extremely flexible.

I got something similar from a realtor when we closed on our house. It was worthless. None of the cities or dates I wanted - up to 2 years, were available.
