ICCDS

I have done some of the grocery shops on occasion which requires several interactions. Reports are fairly easy and they are always on time with payments.

The thing I found interesting is the pay. I did the same grocery chain 17 years ago for Sinclair and guess what? Pay and reimbursement is the same today as it was 17 years ago. Seems to me that they are due for an increase in pay and reimbursement.

Because of the pay issue I now wait until I see one of the stores has been bonused otherwise I give it a pass.

And I think the last time I checked they were limiting the number of the grocery shops you could do in a day. I used to take 4 so that at $12 pay/reimb. I could actually get a week's groceries and it kind of made all the intereactions a little more worthwhile.

What I find surprising is that the pay didn't go down. That is not a slam to ICCDS, just an observation of the industry.

ICCDS is an excellent company, and I love doing their shops.
Lisa - in my opinion the grocery shops did go down since my grocery cost went up and the compensation remained stagnant. I saw another grocery chain listed today where they are offering $10 comp and $1 reimb. - What can one buy for a dollar?

A pack of gum?
This is rather a "ditto" of what others are saying but I'll weigh in and say that I have also had only good experiences with ICCDS. They often offer bonuses at the end of the month, and have paid a bonus for taking a route of shops. They do pay on the low side but their reports are easy, clean and to the point. I appply, do the shops, never hear back, and get paid quickly.
I have done grocery shops for them and they are pretty easy but I have never liked the fact that they seem like "2 for 1" shops where you evaluate 2 different interactions and lots of other details. I dunno, for a low shop fee like what they offer, I'm not super keen on trying to remember interactions and timing for 2 different people. I do like that they dont' seem to be as nitpicky about comments as some MSCs are, so the shops I submit are usually not ever returned to me and I have no problems from there on out. Honestly, there are some other companies out there that offer higher pay but I get too pissed off by them sending reports back wanting more and more and then asking the blood of my firstborn....
Most stores have a clearance section, when the reimburse factor is so low ( as $1) I will look and shop in the clearance section. I bought 4 pair of those "mini gloves" for 25 cents, (They fit adult hands too.) cause the store had them. Belive me, those "I don't know age I want to be" and "station wagon" stores has a clearance section. grinning smileygrinning smiley
I hate when the reimbursement is so small you spend twice as much time finding something remotely useful/desirable as you do performing the actual shop.
I love shopping with them. Apparently every other shopper in my area does to as their shops get taken almost immediately after being posted. Their reports are reasonable, the pay is fair, and I have never had a problem reaching someone if I had an issue.
I always bought a small can of cat food. If you don't have cats, you could donate the food.

They must have added more shoppers to my highly saturated area. I can't get my usual grocery store anymore! ($10 pay, $2 reimbursement--can do a few in an hour at the same location. I get everything I need for sandwiches. Great store!) I've missed 2 rounds and am very upset about it. This is one of 3 mscs that I have bookmarked on my toolbar so that I can check quickly and often. Very upsetting to be out of the loop now.

I've done several shops for them as well. I've had no problems. The reports don't take very long and I can pick up a few groceries that I would be buying anyway while I'm there. It's a win-win for me. They have paid me on time.
Am I overlooking information on their job board? I don't see much detail in the job descriptions and am wondering how long shops are expected to take on site and, more importantly, how long the report will take to write. Any advice on where to look, or just toss the dice and try one?
The time on site depends on how many customers are ahead of you waiting for service in the assigned department and at the cashier. That's the longest part of the shop, unless you're doing your regular grocery shopping, too. Going into a checkout lane with a cashier is mandatory. No self-service allowed! Inputting the report is pretty quick with minimal narratives.

They also have shops where you evaluate demonstrators. You have to take a covert photo of the demonstrator, and it could take a few minutes to find the best spot for that.

You are soooo right - checking out is the longest part of the whole shop! And there are only a couple of things to check on the cashier.
