I am seriously in favor of that. If ReadyToKnow truly epitomizes her/his name, they can do the bare minimum required to start their mystery shopping activities by learning about it.

They should begin with asking themselves why they refuse to understand what multiple shoppers have posted about this subject in great detail.

Pass the barbecue sauce, please!

readytoworknow -- I suggest you do what your name says and get ready to WORK at this, and not expect everyone to deliver up the tricks of the trade so you don't have to bother learning the trade.

Part of mystery shopping is FINDING THE JOBS. There are plenty of ways to do that; we've told people how to do it. But we're not going to do it for them and personally I don't give a rat's whisker if you think I'm selfish for not giving away for free what I spent hours and hours and days and months figuring out for myself.

You may think I'm selfish; I think you are presumptuous. Yes, it IS giving away the farm to give out our lists of information. I live in a small town. If another shopper comes into this area it will cut my income in half or more if they sign up with the same MSC's I did. Why should I help them do that? If they figure it out on their own and start chipping away at my "territory," well, that's FAIR. They did it on their own. If I give them a list of the six MSC's who regularly have shops in this area and they sign up for them and start snagging all the jobs away from me using the information I GAVE them for free -- that's NOT fair.

I don't owe them half my income just because they asked for it.

OP, the only one's I can think of that do apartment shops in our state (aside from what you listed) are not very good companies to work with.

I have heard very bad information about S.T.A.R. from someone I personally know that does shops as well. I was told they give out targeted shops but often don't have valid information on who is working and when. For example, one of their targets was on LOA for 6 months and had been gone for 3 months at the time of the shop. This is just one of several that they told me about.

Another one, CTCSS, their scheduler for my area told me private information about a shopper I had referred to them. I immediately deactivated myself from that company. The other shopper called me a short while later and said that the scheduler e-mailed them. The e-mail said I went in and deactivated the other shopper's account. To top it off, they never paid me for the one shop I did for that company.
