stratigic reflections

While checking on a new listing, it was rated at $10.00 +. The + means possible additional money. To find how much you are told to check survey summary. The only way to see survey summary is to request the job. In this case there was no additional money. I now have to reject this job since $10.00 will barely cover fuel costs. Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem?

I'd email the scheduler, seriously. Personally, I never take shops (especially bonused ones) without the bonus in writing (sent through email), unless it's on the actual post, but that's just me. In this case, I'd email the scheduler, tell him/her your situation, and ask if they might be able to give you the bonus (whatever you think is fair). Tell them what you need and what will work for your family. Be sure to tell them that you are a responsible shopper, be prepared to take the shop if you have to (it's the best way to prove your reliability), but be sure to explain the hardship.

Let us know how it goes!

Sending the best,

Jen
When it says something like $10+, not a definite amount, I refuse to accept. Like jentodd, I would e-mail the scheduler and offer to take the job after I see a definite fee disclosure.
I believe that in the system that Strategic Reflections uses, the '+' in the pay means that there is a reimbursement.
I had a similar experience with another MSC.

You can't see the client name or the survey.

I did email the scheduler after I saw the survey someplace else - it was twice the questions (like 120 or 140) for half the money another MSC paid for less questions and more money.

When I mentioned to the scheduler that I had to turn down the shop she screeched " How did you find out how many questions were on the survey?"

Really. Talk about deceptive practices!

Fortunately, she's no longer in charge of that division.
