Strategic Reflections

I would say overall I don't have problems with them. They don't have a lot of job offers in my area. That being said, I do have a big complaint. I get the automated voice calls which I hate. (With most calls when I realize it is a computer calling me, I hange up. I figure if they want to talk to me, a person will call.) So yesterday, I get the automated "robo" call about how they have shops in my area and really need my help. I'm asked to press a button to talk with a scheduler or visit their website. Since I don't like speaking with the automatic attendant, I hung up and visited the website. There were two listings and I didn't qualify for either one (completed them last month).

They need to fix it - fix their systems. I shouldn't receive calls when I don't qualify for the available shops. This is annoying.

I just called SR to inquire why I haven't see an particular shoe shop posted on their job board since January 2013. The new male employee had no idea what I was talking about but I overheard him ask a female employee in the background. She said that they no longer handle that client. Does anyone know if that client is still being shopped by another MSC? Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the "Big Bird Shop?"
lol. I misread. I thought she was talking about another shop?
I've done quite a few shops for them and my bf has too. Neither of us has had any problem with feedback or payment. I wish they had more work around here, but hopefully we'll be leaving this part of the state and heading back "home" soon and can get more jobs there.
I did the shoe shop last week, so they still have them.

I have done over 100 shops for these folks. At one point they were one of my favorite MYC to work for but they have had such a change over in schedulers and they have a manager there who every so often wakes up on the wrong side of the bed, has a bad day, and just blanket deleats hundreds of agents.

There are a couple of restaurant shops I would sometimes pick up as many as a dozen locations, I may get 11 done and be a day late with the last. I would write to their scheduling dept. to ask for an extra day but this manager would see the past due and delete my account (along with many others) without even reading e-mails, or having one of their people call to see what was wrong.

On Sunday I did FIVE shops for them, I often do shops for them in out of the way places they often go begging for help on but these are the last shops I plan to ever do for this MYC. All five of these shops were reported within 12 hours of completion.

I get an e-mail asking me to cover an early morning Breakfast shop for Franklin TN (which is 218 miles from me as opposed to Franklin NC which is 16 miles) and when I pointed this out I get this hateful letter back from one of their new schedulers.

I miss the professionalism of Jeff Poff who was great to work with. Until they clean house I want nothing more to do with these people as I told them yesterday to take me off their list. You don't treat people who are doing five shops a day for you the way they treated me when it was their own geography challenged scheduler (maybe this is where Miss South Carolina from 2007 ended up) who was sending out spam e-mails asking me to travel to places over 200 miles away for a $7 payout and then sending me hate mail when I pointed out that I cover Franklin NC not Franklin TN.

I love SR. They have easy, fast paying shops. My kind of work! smiling smiley

The pay is not that great but I use it as a filler-in, when I am doing other shops near-by....
Hi Ed. I ran into the same thing with Jennifer there. This one is fond of using the Red Button on a whim. I really do not care who reads this...

Maybe they don't realize they are 2 different states? Or maybe they think you should be happy to travel over 200 miles for $7? I live about 25 miles from Franklin,TN, but I wouldn't go there just to do a $7 shop. That's just crazy.
Pamala, it sounds like you may have pushed somebody's button. Of course you don't want to go 218 miles for a $7.00 shop and we all understand that. That said, we have to be careful as we can't make eye to eye contact and we don't get to pick up on body language. It is so, so easy to get screwed up and it can be hard to recover a relationship.

The best way to say "no" is to say "no" in a way that doesn't take away options to say "yes" in the future. Here's one to file away: "Thanks so much for letting me know about this but it's (too far, the wrong direction to fit in my routes, can't schedule in your time frame, whatever) and I won't be able to do it. I hope you'll keep in touch on other opportunities."

Even if you're done with the company, remember that companies are bought out and people move around. We can never have enough friends, and one enemy is one too many.

Hi MDavisnowell
I was just quoting What another poster said. But Thanks for the tips on how tsay no. I have a hard time saying.no.when a MSC calls me even though if it was for a location that far away I would have to.say no. I am going to write your tips down and keep them with me for the next time I am calles for a job I don't want to do, I will know What to say.
Hello Pamala - Apparently I've been confused all day and I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow. Anyway, I'm glad you got something you can use out of the post.

I agree with you 100%.... I met that scheduler today, and she was "charming" as she pointed out that it was the shopper's fault... certainly nothing that Strategic Reflections could have mismanaged in the communication process.

After today, I can't recommend this company any longer. As you say... At one point, they were a favorite MSC... not now, they apparently have no clue any more.... because, I guess, shoppers are a dime a dozen in remote areas

Thank you.... it was Jennifer who deactivated my account today because I said the "right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing" at Strategic Reflections.

That is after years of working remote locations for this company.... who apparently doesn't need shoppers working remote locations any longer. And, like you, I really do not care who reads this. Jennifer needs to be "deactivated".... not the shoppers.

I'm editing to add that I posted previous comments in this thread that were simply glowing about Strategic Reflections... and one quick posting to say I was deactivated because I said the "right hand didn't know what the left hand is doing".

I guess my warning to other shoppers would be.... the shops you are doing for Strategic Reflections might be your last...

It's okay I'm confused quite often. Lol
Does anyone have the website for this company? I had it under my favorites but had not done any shops for them. I was sent an email for some new locations which I may be interested in but when I use the old link my internet security blocks them so I deleted the link. Today I receive same email for the same shops but says to sign up at www.reflectionsms.com. Maybe it is a sign and I should just not bother.
txwahchick, if you Google Strategic Reflections, the first thing that comes up is [strategicreflections.com]

Reflections, www.reflectionsms.com, is another very good company to sign up with.
