I got suckered into doing 2 hotel stay shops in August and have not been paid. They never answered my e-mails and now the website is gone. Is there any mystery shop group that overseas these mystery shop companies? I hope their not on volition.com
Perhaps we should contact the hotel headquarters and let them know what the Freeman Group is doing. Taking our reports, getting paid by the hotels and then not paying us.
Some people have contacted clients when MSCs go out of business and leave shoppers high and dry. Just realize it will not accomplish much unless it makes you feel better. Since Freeman is gone, those clients won't be working with them anymore. The clients have paid Freeman and won't feel any compunction to pay a second time and they have no legal obligation. Clients also might take the attitude that you actually received value for the money you spent, whether it was a hotel room and/or a meal.

It took me 8 months to get paid [Freeman]...(I wonder if my electric company would wait 8 months for me to pay my bill?.....lol...) but I am now doing an Intellishop hotel shop. I have never done one with I.S. but let's see how that pans out...

I did an Intellishop hotel shop on Pearl Harbor Day. It went fairly well, room was upgraded to oceanfront suite from oceanview double. It's the off season here, so the hotel was in the middle of remodeling...made for some interesting observations.
