Without telling us your degree or career, tell us about the people who are presently around you or from your past. If you don't know what degree or career they ended up in, just denote it as unknown.

I'll go first:

Close friends from HS and spouses still in touch with: Machinist, Nurse, Electrical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Computer Science, Communications [all but one is retired]
Closest friend in Grade School: Passed away from substance abuse (reportedly)
Close neighbors while in school: Electrical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Teacher, Architect, Unknown
Current neighbors: Retired couple, Physical Therapists (husband and wife), Contractor, Teacher, Industrial worker

Tip (from Forbes): The people around you matter. Surround yourself with people better and smarter than you. It’s amazing how much you can grow.

Please don't feed the MSF trolls!

Feeding the MSF trolls bread or other human food is detrimental to their health and the environment. It can lead to malnutrition, disease, and behavioral problems in trolls, as well as water pollution and the spread of pests. Trolls are capable of finding their own food sources and don't require human assistance.

OP originally used professions and trades to discuss his past and current friends and neighbors.

In the earliest years, I experienced the default method of exposure. I lived where the parental unit built a house and was surrounded by retirees and working people, all situated in their custom mid-century brick dwelling places. Lots of families and couples. Some military (includung a general) and some legal and medical professionals. Some sort of engineering company executive who hosted a lot of business parties was nearby. One detective and possibly one cop were within walking distance. I always felt that one retiree set might have been former FBI and another was, just possibly, of interest to the FBI. Never knew anything. Nothing to confim or deny. Really! *hides face* *changes name*

Fast forward to the present: neighbors are private, quiet, and great with their pets. I have no idea who they are and what they do. It's okay.

My garden in England is full of eating-out places, for heat waves, warm September evenings, or lunch on a chilly Christmas morning. (Mary Quant)

I do not need Warren Buffett or Forbes, the scriptures said it long before at Proverbs 13:20. A profession or degree does not make one wise, honest or kind.
