Reason for visit: Need a storage unit 2 or 3 Bedrooms. Scenario 1 - Your company offered you a temp job in another city, you want to store most of your furniture since you’re moving to an apartment the first of the month (whatever the following month is). Scenario 2 - You are new in the area. You are moving into an apartment and need to store your items. a. You will need the unit for about a year; need it in the next couple weeks (give exact date of moving); you heard of them by driving by, or Google.
Scan the lobby/office. Walk up to the counter and tell them you want to get some pricing on their storage units. (Don’t say you are checking around on pricing. They need to believe you are ready, willing, and able to rent now.) If offered, take a tour of the facilities. DO NOT ASK FOR A TOUR (YOU MUST GO ON THE TOUR IF OFFERED). Give a buying clue. (This one looks right, I like this one, This is nice, etc). Offer an objection. (I’ll check back later once I decide, I want to think about it, I need to be sure of what size I need first, etc). Retrieve a business card or flyer. (This is required to be uploaded to your survey.) Exit the business. Fill out the survey immediately.
