Depending on where you live, it may be suspicious that you’re traveling to find your daycare, so be ready to have a response to any question that may arise regarding location in comparison to where you live (i.e. moving to the area; work in the area; etc.)
You must pose as a parent. You may not pose as a grandparent for this assignment.
For this shop you will:
Click into your pre-survey, call the facility on the recorded line and then submit your pre-survey.
You are posing as the parent of an infant (must be an age between 6 weeks and 18 months). You are looking for child care. Wait to be asked for an appointment in order to see if one is offered.
IMPORTANT: You will be recording your call for this shop. An explanation of how to do this is in the "Specific Briefing" section of this document.
Visit on your selected date during the location’s business hours.
Make detailed observations about your interactions with the staff during the tour.
Use the scenario listed in your client briefing.
Make detailed observations about the services offered. Review the survey at the bottom of this briefing for a full list of the observations you will need to make.
There are 4 form sections (1 for each age group--infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K). You will only need to answer the one relevant to your scenario.
It is HIGHLY recommended that you keep notes on your phone, including all specific observations you need to make. This is common for parents to do if they're looking around.
Ask at the end of your visit: "What sets your facility apart from all other competitors?"
Once the tour is completed, you may then leave.
Take any collateral you are given with you, such as the tour book, as this will be uploaded to your report.
Take a picture of the building exterior after your visit. This will be your proof of shop and uploaded to your report.
Flat payment $35.00, plus bonus of $10.00
