newbie

Hi everyone,
I'm just starting to explore the idea of mystery shopping. I live in a very small town and I know the closest place for me to do any mystery shopping would be a 1/2 hour drive. I do drive to the larger town to buy clothes but that is only once in a while. I do most of my grocery shoppin in my small town locally owned grocery store.
any ideas on how I could make this work with living a distance from any real store

At best you are likely to be an 'occasional shopper'. Certainly the on-line 'mystery shops' seem to be a waste of time with the hitch that you will get call backs from every place you take a 'trial membership' (and you will need to be vigilant that you cancel trial memberships before they hit your credit card). Phone shops are relatively and far between and I'm not sure that spending the time looking specifically for them is worthwhile. There are gas stations and fast food places and post offices to be shopped and it is likely that these are all represented in your very small town. These usually have a rotation of 30 days to 3 months. And of course when you go to the larger town, if you can spend some time there beyond your initial need, you could likely pick up work there. Corporate Research International, Bare International and Market Force blue portal are probably your most likely sources of work.

I am a newbie too, but I hate to go out and especially drive int he snow, BUT here is how I get around this. I look for shops that are on the days of Dr appointmentts and other reasons (once a month shopping, etc) and sign up for those shops. I also pick two days a week (these can be different every week or the same days what ever I want) to sign up for as many shops as I feelI can get done properly (did 6 convenience stores in one day, did 4 banks in one day) for examle. So it may be worth it to go to a surrounding area for example my 6 shops took about 4 hours including drive time and I earned $90.00 Not bad pay!

Good luck, keep us up to date on how you are doing!
