Hi from Canada

Hi everyone, I am new to the world of mystery shopping. I have done six shops in the last two months. I have been reading all the post and there is a lot of good information here. Thanks. To all other newbies out there remember to read all the instructions before setting out to do your shop visit. I did a retail shop and paid for my purchase with the proper payment method but darn those point cards,I used it and it was clearly stated in the instructions not too. Chalk it up to experience.

Welcome to the forum lapsycrafter! Sorry to hear you had a goof on a shop. Trust me, it happens to ALL OF US. And there are both our goofs and requirements that just cannot be met. I did one today with no purchase where I was supposed to take a number of photos of the building including one showing the address of the location visited. Neither the place I visited nor surrounding buildings that I could get THEIR street number and the building I visited in the same photo had an address. I'm awaiting a ruling about payment before I submit the shop. No point in doing a report and uploading a whole bunch of pictures if I won't get paid!

Flash, I had a shop with a similar situation. Nowhere was there a sign, directory, plaque or suite number. My pictures were of the building's exterior, entrance, the suite's door, the next door neighbor's unmarked door, and the intersection, with no signage. Taking a picture of what isn't there wasn't in the guidelines, but I had driven 17 miles!

I understand. I was only 12 miles away and I took all the photos I could since I was there already, but I am hardly going to provide a report and not get paid because the required photo for payment was impossible. There are still a few days before the deadline so if they won't pay, they can find someone else to provide the data and not get paid.
