It is known that Yahoo and AOL have extensive spam filters that misidentify many incoming emails from MSPs as unwanted. Some companies have been identified by these guys as spammers and therefore the emails are blocked at the gates and don't even make it to your junk mail.
I generally recommend getting an email at gmail.com. You will need to go back to the companies you have signed up with with the update and you will need to authorize the new address with your Paypal account.
