I have been using this forum for a little while, but never introduced myself. I just started mystery shopping in late May 2012 and found this forum a few months later. When my spouse and I were discussing my getting into this, we agreed I would keep track of every assignment to make sure I got paid and was not scammed. I signed up for a website that offers ads from verified shopping companies and made up an excel sheet and got to work. After a while, I realized my tax decuction for the mileage was way higher than my fees. So I spent a lot less time shopping and less time traveling, but it looked better for the profits. Then my child went back to school in September, I got bored and went on traveling again up to an hour to do the shopping--hoping to do a few shops a day in that general direction.
I thought about getting into video shopping, but decided to wait on it after an opportunity to edit for as MSC came along. The MSC wants me to wait till the new year to begin with the editing, but they want me to train full time from home then.

I have a spouse from the UK and am close with my in-laws. My sister-in-law and Mum would like to get started mystery shopping as they are avid bargain hunters anyway. As it turns out my new company that I will edit for shops in the UK too, and Canada and the US.

My spouse got word a month or two ago that he will be unemployed in Feb. and I need to make a more consistent income.

I accidentally named my self on this forum after kattykay, the BBC world news broadcaster that my spouse watches each evening. I did not even realize where I got the name till the next day....
