Limited but need more JOBS in ohio

Hello, I am not new to mystery shopping been doing them for about 6 years but not full time. Well, things change. I am a
single mom and a little extra always was fine. I got the big lay-off from my job and now I need to get movin. Limited on how far I can drive per day because I have a son with a disability who goes to adult day care. I pretty much just need some solid work Mon.-Fri. I would be happy with one shop a day just really consistent $10-$15 a day. It's kinda tough to get any done on week-ends taking him with me. I probably should have been talking about this a couple of months ago. Anyway, anybody know of more companies working in Ohio let me know or if this could turn into a full time job earning more than just extra spending money. Something that could make a $2-3 hundred a month car payment. Please help me out.

Thanks
Lena

Lena, click on the blue link at the bottom of the page, Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies. They are all legitimate, reliable companies. The more you sign up with, the more potential jobs in your area you will be able to compete for.
Hello Lena, and welcome to the forum. You stated you have been shopping for about six years, so I'm not sure we can offer you any ideas with which you're not already familiar. Following are ideas for new shoppers, which may not be useful to you.

There is a free version of JobSlinger that works perfectly well. Primarily, JobSlinger represents MSPs using the Sassie platform. It's a site that lets you search for who has shops in your area. Then, if you're not signed with them, do so.

MSJobBoard.com does similar for MSPs using ShopMetrics.

And Prophet MSPs have their similar - archondev.com Theirs is a site most beneficial for blanket sign-ups, as opposed to individual.

With experience, I have found little use for the above. I have my favorites, and have tracked their history of shop release dates. While shops on these sites have most likely been assigned for the month, you will be ready to grab them next month. If you wait for available shops to be emailed, they most likely have already been nabbed.

Good luck. Keep us posted?
Hi Lena.

I live in Ohio too. I don't drive but I would say you can definitely earn a couple of hundred dollars to make your car payment expenses. I think the others are right, the more companies you sign up with the more opportunities you will find. You might want to consider telephone shops too. I specialize in finance and banking telephone shops and earn a couple of hundred dollars each month from those efforts. If you PM me I would be happy to share some of the MS companies HQ'd in Ohio. All the best.
Lena,
When I started over 7 years ago, my aim was to clear $400 per month. It took about 6 months, and signing up with about 100 companies before I was able to have my pick of jobs that I actuallu liked and could consistantly make my goal. Since then, I have moved into video shopping and make much more. But, that's sort of the advanced course.

Thanks so much for the help. We'll see. Interested in video shops but need advice on equipment.

lena,
You need more traditional shop experience, especially with aparment shops before you venture into video shops.
