Introduction

Hi everybody,

I've been following the forum for some weeks now and thought I'd better join. I have been an MS here in the UK for almost 10 years. I've done all sorts, from a simple sale and refund to 48 hour hotel visits. Some days I'd arrive home absolutely exhausted, some days were a breeze. The longer I've been working the better jobs I'm now offered.

Much of the work I now do is more auditing than MS. That is where the money is at the moment. With the recession most hospitality visits I'm offered are of the no fee variety. The principal being that I was getting a free meal, night in hotel,etc. They've stopped offering me these now, after I turned down dozens of jobs. If I'm good enough to do the job, I'm good enough to get paid for it. No pay - no job.

I have edited for three MSCs.
I rarely shop now, but I have done quite a variety of shops.
I edit part to full time.
I won't state what companies I have edited for because I don't want anyone to think I'm speaking on behalf of my company even if I am stating what their policies are. I have my own opinions and don't want to jeopardize my standing as an editor when I put my foot into my mouth, vent, or say something against the MSC I work for.
I worked for two small firms and now work for a large SASSIE company.
