Mystery Shopper Newbie

Hello to everyone,

I have done mystery shopping on and off for about 10 years. I recently applied on a couple of websites and received a job, did the shop, filled out all the paperwork, and am now awaiting payment. I find Mystery Shopping fun, however, you have to put forth a great deal of effort for a little amount of pay. What are some good legitimate companies to apply to? I am afraid I have been a victem of a scam already and after reading the posts here, I think I am going to have to go to the bank and cancel the check somehow.

Hi there. I'm also shopping the Mobile area maybe some MS and FL too. It just depends on the fee. After reading several posts on Apple Logistics, I knew there was something fishy when they sent the check for $2,890.00. I questioned her about the amount of the check and she replied we like to send out one large check for 6 assignments instead of several little ones. The phone conversations seemed on the up and up, but the letter included with the check just raised more questions. Why would I shop a Western Union location and send someone this large sum of money. I'm not going to get caught holding the bag.

Oh you have been duped for sure. Please don't send them the money. For reputable shops just browse this forum and you'll see the shops everyone likes and those we don't.
