Hello
I'm Carl and Im 6'6.
Im new to mystery shopping.
A good friend told this is a nice way to make some extra cash.
So I said why not try. I'm in Michigan just outside of Detroit.
I hoping to get some jobs soon and lots.

Hi Carl! Welcome to the forum! Let me direct you over to the New Mystery Shopper portion of the forum where the sticky threads at the top will give you some idea of how this works. On each page of the forum you will find at the bottom of the page "The Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies" link that will take you to both links to companies to register and links to shopper conversations regarding various companies.

I am a laid off teacher in TX, and looked into this years ago, but was too busy with school and kids. I'm guessing this won't replace what I've lost, but, at least I can earn something and feel like I am contributing more to my household.

And you will find that there are two ways this can contribute. First of course are the fees, but often more valuable are the reimbursements. There are opportunities to evaluate grocery stores and I have seen the reimbursements range from about $2 (next to useless) on up to $20, which can be nicely helpful to the overall household economy. There are also reimbursements for oil changes and there are lifestyle reimbursements such as the occasional 'date night' out for dinner and sometimes movies that either reimburse for two or allow a paid admission to accompany you.

I just visited Flash's sticky notes and asked for his spreadsheet. I am impressed with what I have been able to find here in the last couple hours! I am not sure how I got here once I joined (this particular hello page), but, I found the site when I was checking out an email I received the other day to become a MS. They wanted me to send my information via email, and I NEVER offer my info - especially if someone calls or emails me to solicit. Turned out that this was a scam, and I sent the email to SPAM.
Glad to find this and am planning to get my feet wet soon.
