I have been doing mystery shops since 2008. I got started in it as a simple way to earn Starbucks money. I've always had a full time job so this was simply a side hustle. I got laid off of my full time job in October and have been looking for full time work. During this time off I just started getting more involved in mystery shopping. I'm registered with so many different companies and have been doing at least 1 job everyday which is kind of nice. I love doing the apartment shops the most because they pay more but the reports are annoying. But I really enjoy doing it because I worked for a private investigator for 7 years and have experience with audits and such. I also am a stickler for customer service experiences so this has been fun for me.

That's how I got started! My best advice, don't give up looking for a day job, LOL!
